The inn has incorporated many green building elements such as geothermal heating and cooling, low E windows and doors, structural insulated panels, and soy-based insulation. Geothermal runoff has been artfully diverted to create a running stream and pond, complete with goldfish.
Oak trees cleared during construction have been locally milled to create beautiful and varied wood flooring.
Owner and builder Jere McCarthy has designed steel elements and handmade beds using local artisan steelwork and reclaimed farm wood.
